- The future of Bravo’s Summer House is uncertain amid Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s relationship.
- Kyle Cooke says the show is “in jeopardy.”
- The Lover Boy founder says you can’t shoot the show when “vibes are off” because “we’re not actors.”
Wondering what’s going to happen to Summer House amid the latest cast drama? You know, the “latest cast drama” being West Wilson and Amanda Batula announcing they’re dating despite Amanda being best friends with West’s ex, Ciara Miller (who was also recently dating him) AND despite West being close with Amanda’s ex-husband, Kyle Cooke.
According to Kyle, the show’s future on Bravo is, in fact, in jeopardy.
“It’s just a lot to take in,” Kyle said in an interview with Adam Glyn, who caught up with the reality star while he was walking his dogs. “It’s not just me, Amanda, West, Ciara. It’s, like, our whole friend group. I mean, Carl is a mess. It really does put into jeopardy what the show’s about because you can’t shoot Summer House if the vibes are off. We’re not actors.”
Kyle added, “I think that show still has legs because there’s just an amazing group of friends, all super dynamic, different stages in life. I think that, actually, the show will be a good show. There’s just still so much to unpack with my 10-year relationship, so it’s like we’re watching a whole different movie while this other thing plays out. It’s a crazy feeling.”
Despite thinking Summer House is in jeopardy, Kyle says “There’s no reason not to do Summer House. Obviously every single year we go through the casting process. I think the real issue would be, ‘Can we actually, as a group, film?’ I’ve never had an issue with filming with anybody that I had beef with in 10 years. I would never do that to West, I would never do that to Hannah, but I have real issues with a dude that managed to use his charm to get whatever he wants, says the right thing at the right time.”
